This is a demo model Gretsch guitar that is currently on display in the world renowned Gretschworld showroom at Cream City Music. The guitar is in nearly mint condition but does show evidence of being carefully handled and played a few times in our showroom. The guitar will ship as shown with full warranty and all the original factory documentation and packaging. We are authorized to give a great deal on our demo model Gretsch guitars! We've always loved the unique look of the 6120 in black versus the more common orange stain.
Duane's original is a 1957 Gretsch 6120 and this new signature model is a wonderful recreation of that guitar with just a few tweaks and mods. It's got a period correct 2.875" thick body and brass nut. A unique aspect of this guitar is the '59 style trestle bracing. Typically, on a '57 spec 6120 you'll see parallel tone bar bracing. So if you're after the '57 style and sound with the added stability and sustain of Trestle bracing, then this might be the perfect guitar for you! The G6120-DE recreates the look sound and feel of a 1957 6120 but with modern dependability and durability. The "Hump-Block" inlay was a feature unique to 1957 ere Gretsch guitars. The tone of this guitar is clear and strong with tremendous bass response that's very clean and musical and an articulate treble that's bright and snappy without a hint of "brittle" tone. This guitar is pure Gretsch quality with top notch fretwork and neck angle providing the perfect playability that the Gretsch Professional Collection is known for.
