This is a wonderful vintage and rare Bass. I've looked up the serial number number and there are only 11 existing and registered bass. Airing the Gretch Label. Now the Kay factory made very few bass to be sold by the Gretch Guitar company. It is basically a c-1 model with a different stain and finish style. The Bass is a boomer! It's loud and plays well up and down the neck. I have installed ZYEX strings they act like gut they cost me around 200.00 and they are new. Just look at the neck joint! When do you ever see a Kay bass this age without some crazy neck set. This Bass doesn't need one. The only reason this Bass is for sale is my marriage is having issues. Prefer local pickup but I can maybe meet someone halfway if you pay my gas. I can also put the Bass on a greyhound bus. Buyer is responsible for all shipping cost including sending me a padded case to ship it in.
