Here's a vintage Simmons SDS-8 drum set.  Comes with the brain, five triggers, and some mounting hardware.
The brain is an identical circuit to the SDS-V (this was sort of the beginner's model of the SDS-V), the main difference is there is less presets.
This has five channels: Kick, Snare, High Tom, Medium Tom, Low Tom.  Each with a factory preset and also a user preset, which you set with the knobs.  You can switch between each and mix and match across the kit.
Each channel has its own input and output, which has been useful for recording and effecting each sound separately.  Also separate Stereo and Mono mix outputs.
There is also a MIDI in for a sequencer. The pads all work.  They are what they are, pieces of plywood with a contact mic glued to it covered in hard rubber.  You can however use a standard contact mic to trigger the brain, which is very cool. There's velcro on the bottom of the brain.  I had it on a pedalboard before.Overall it is a very usable and musical electronic instrument.  The range of frequencies is extremely wide (from sub-bass to siren-highs) and is the same for each channel.  It's sweet for recording and also for incorporating into an acoustic kit.
