A retro oxblood grill cover and vintage fawn-colored vinyl over a birch plywood cabinet gives the AC15HW1X classic style and sound. It's a traditional 2-channel design, with both a top boost channel that has a hot/cool switch and a normal channel that has a bright switch. At its heart, the AC15HW1X contains three ECC83/12AX7 preamp tubes, a pair of EL84 power tubes, and a EZ81 rectifier tube - all of which are matched JJ Tubes, which provide impeccable tone and extended dynamic range. An amazing 12" Celestion Alnico Blue speaker gives you the vintage mellow-yet-bright tone you hear on some of the best rock recordings ever made. The included footswitch willl activate the Hot setting on the Top Boost channel. Please see Youtube for "AC15HW1x Champions of Chime" video for a very accurate idea of what this amp can do! The Celestion Alnico Blue (retails at $279) gives you that Famous Vox Chime. This amp is not in pristine condition cosmetically (it is beautiful but not unblemished, please see pics). It has upgraded JJ Tubes and functions as it should. Cosmetically it has 3 small tears on the back bottom of the amp (see pics) and one blemish on the front (barely visible). There is a reason these hold their value so well. This amp is a beast, you will never have to worry about not being loud enough on stage. It takes pedals very well especially in the Normal Channel. No Reverb, No tremolo, just tone!! You can turn it into a 2 x 12 by using the extension cab jack on the back so you can run an extra 16 ohm extension cab (Switch the back to 8ohm). or you can run an entirely different cab at 16 or 8 ohms by using the external speaker jack.I'm including the original footswitch, manual, dustcover, power cable and Bag.
