Vintage AMPEX AG-440B 1/4" 2-Track Reel-to-Reel Analog RecorderThe playback on this recorder works great. However, I was unable to get it to record anything. Because of this I am selling it AS IS / For Parts or Repair The Vu meters work, all inputs and outputs are functioning. Play, Record, Stop, Fast Forward, and Rewind are all working however occasionally with a heavy reel you have to give it a little nudge to get it going. There are a total of 6 light bulbs that need to be replaced, including the Vu Meter lights. This machine would be an excellent candidate for restoration. Cosmetically this machine is in very good condition for it's age (SEE PHOTOS). Please view the photos carefully as they are part of the description. The original cabinet features casters and is fully adjustable from flat to vertical and everywhere in between.
