Travel back in time with this vintage electric guitar. Made in 1985 or 1986 at the Fender Japan Fuji-Gen factory, it's a Fender Stratocaster in great condition. Serial number A002396. I got it from the original owner, who bought it as a teenager with money saved from lawn mowing. Since then, he's been an acoustic bluegrass picker and never really got the hang of electric guitar. So, the guitar has sat in his closet or hanging on the wall for nearly 30 years. So, it is truly great condition. There are some strum scratch marks on the white pickguard and tops of the pickups, but, other than that, it looks real real nice. Structurally and functionally, it's stellar. The white switch tip on the five-way control switch is a replacement. The six Phillips screws on the back access plate are replacements. Comes in a non-original modern black gig bag. I believe the tremolo, locking tuners and fine tuners are called System Two. Check it out: the tuners lock on the peghead above the nut with fine tuners behind the saddle on the bridge. It comes with the original Allen wrench that locks the tuners and also works for the neck tilt on the back neck plate. The neck is in great shape, appropriately straight with the truss rod set for a bit of relief. Action is set right now at 3/32", but can be adjusted either way. I've been playing this guitar this morning and just loving it. With the five-way switch set to the bridge pickup, the guitar has a real sting to it that I dig.                For shipping, it will be well wrapped with plenty of new ½” bubble wrap and shipped in a new 46” by 19” by 7” cardboard instrument box.
