This is a cymbal that’s not easily found. The stamp dating places this somewhere between 1910 and 1920, and it’s signed inside the bell, likely by Kerope Zildjian himself. , it’s “Stamp 2”.This cymbal weighs 1335 grams, and is very well suited as a bottom hi-hat. I’ve paired it with medium and heavy tops and it sounds really thick and meaty. The bell is huge. I’ve also used it as a funky dry crash/ride.This cymbal hasn’t left my recording studio since I found it well over 20 years ago. There’s no key holing, it’s in extremely good shape for a 100-year-old cymbal.
