Clean Gibson ES-446s custom shop hollowbody guitar in blonde. All original with no modifications or repairs and has no structural or any other issue. It has been my main ax for the last 10 years, so there is a little bit of expected wear and tear (no cracks, just a few dings). I also seem to have lost the screw-on pickguard over the years. The neck is straight with low action and it plays like butter. The ES-446s ( the "s" is for slim body and every 446 was an "s") is a true hollowbody guitar that was constructed in the Gibson Custom Shop. During the four year period when these guitars were being made they were advertised as a cross between a Les Paul and a 335. The 446 may share some of the tonality of those guitars but the 446 is constructed like a hollow arch top guitar but smaller and slimmer. Notably, the arched spruce top has the braces carved right into it as opposed to glued. Also, the one piece mahogany back has a very comfortable belly contour carved into it that no one ever seems to mention. The description below from 2001 says the guitar weighs 7.5 lbs but I think this one actually weighs less than that and it also says it has Schaller tuners but this one has Gibson Deluxe Vintage tuners.These are unique and rare guitars--it is essentially like a hollow Les Paul with a carved spruce top.What you will get:- Gibson ES-446s Custom Shop guitar- Gibson Custom Shop Art/Historic hardshell case- Certificate of authenticity-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------2001 Gibson CustomShop Catalog:Manufacturer's 2001 Description:When you pick up the new hollow-bodied ES-446S,the first thing you’ll notice is how incredibly light theinstrument is.
