The L6S Midnight Special ist the most rare version of the L6S family.
Besides the rare custom finish, the Midnight Special anchored their strings thru the body for better sustain.
They had a bolt-neck construction which gave the guitar an extra punch and some nice attack, typical for bolt-onneck guitars.
Definately not a Gibson "Low-cost" model, but an under-rated model with its own characteristic sounds.
The guitar is in excellent condition except some play-wear - mostly on the backside of the body.
The original 24 frets are still in perfect shape.
2 orig. Gibson "Pat Nr." humbuckers, single cutaway maple body.
3-piece mapleneck with maple fretboard and pearl-dot inlays.
Tuners have been replaced for same style orig. Klusons (no aditional holes).
Comes in its original black Gibson case with yellow lining. Techn. Details: Solid Maple Body with contoured back,3-piece maple bolt-on neck,Maple fretboard with pearl-dot inlays and 24 frets,6x Kluson "double-line" tuners,2x Humbucker pickups, Vol., Tone, 3-way toggle switch,2x black "speed" knobs,Chrome Hardware, Rectangular ABR-1 Bridge,Strings thru body,Original Black Gibson L6S case with yellow lining.
