1950 Gibson L-7CE, Genuine PAF Pickup!! OHSC, 1959 Gibson letter!Serial # A5322 (White Label) FON # 2328 9A late 50's PAF Humbucker, Tone and Volume controls with period correct shields, were added most likely in the 50's by Gibson (according to the previous owner, but not verified). There is a letter from Gibson dated 1959 with instructions for adjusting the action which appears to be an answer to the owner's inquiry. The work is factory looking and was probably done at that same time. Frets have a lot of life left with a small hump in the fingerboard between the 14th and 16th fret which does not affect playability, but can be spotted by a sharp eye. The guitar has seen very little play and wear of any kind. Has some buckle rash on the back and some pick scratches, but way above average for its age. A non-original strap button was added at the base of the neck. Black light shows no variations in finish or repairs.Period correct brown case is in decent condition for its age with a replacement handle. Has a loose pick pocket top flap which is not a concern for the guitar's protection and could be easily glued back in place.The price is firm so no offers or trade will be accepted.
