This is a 1968 Gibson SG Standard in excellent condition. It features a double-cut away solidbody, with pointed horns, and trapezoid inlays. It has a solid mahogany body with a large pickguard that surrounds the pickups. The bridge is the tune-o-matic and a Maestro vibrato with the original lyre logo on the coverplate. The neck is mahogany with a bound roswewood fingerboard. The head has the crown peghead inlay, pearl logo, and black truss-rod cover. It has all of the original hardware including the original humbuckers with metal covers, 4 knobs (2 tone, 2 volume), selector switch by pickguard, and jack into top.All of the hardware is original and untouched, there have been no repairs done to this guitar. It is 100% original factory stock. The frets are in wonderful shape without any dimples and have plenty of life left. The action is tight and the neck is perfectly straight. There are a few blemishes that are to be expected with 50 year old guitar but nothing significant. The neck is set very well and the finish has absolutely no checking in it. It comes with the original case that is in good condition with a small hole in the back. It also has the original owners manual and a pack of original factory strings for some cool provenance and case candy. The serial number is 893480. It was authenticated at Ruggiero's Guitar Workshop in Philadelphia, PA and the serial was confirmed by Gibson. It was crafted at the Gibson Kalamazoo plant as shown on the owners manual and strings. Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to make an offer.
