"At the Summer NAMM show in July 2002, Gibson introduced the John Lennon J-160E Peace model (only 750 made) which simulates the third incarnation of John’s guitar, i.e. – stripped of finish. In 1968, John's J-160E was stripped of its psychedelic paint job and it was left natural. The un-finished guitar was first seen during the Beatles recording sessions for The Beatles “White Album,” but it was most famous for its use at John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s “Bed In” peace demonstrations in Amsterdam and Montreal. During the Montreal gig, he etched two sets of caricatures of Yoko and himself on the front of the guitar. This final version of John's Gibson J-160E is the basis for the new Peace Model , though it is neither an exact reissue nor replica."Original Gibson Hard Case Is Included, as well as the replica of John's guitar strap as often seen used by him with his J160E. Best of all, along with the other case candy, including the warranty brochure and guitar shop price tag showing what I paid, I will also be including the original Certificate Of Authenticity, documenting this as a genuine John Lennon Limited Edition J160E from Gibson. Check all the pics to see it!NOW! As for condition,,,,,,,THIS IS A BRAND NEW GUITAR. I bought it brand new (see original price tag for what I paid approx. 13 years ago.) and NEVER played it except for initial testing. Then back in the case it went and into storage in my climate controlled studio along with the rest of my world-renowned Beatle related guitar collection! The plastic film is still on the pickguard as shown in the pics!!I have supplied guitars to some of the best "Beatles" players in the world, among them Tim Piper, the international star of the incredible show "Just Imagine". (He's a close friend and won't mind me name-dropping, I hope!)Anyway, he never played this one though.....it's in as-new condition, although over the years the original Gibson Hard Shell Case has done it's job protecting it's precious contents by being placed up against other cases, so may have a scuff or dust, but as one pic shows the dust EASILY wipes right off. But I will leave that for you to finish.ALL of the case candy is there AS NEW, including of course the ESSENTIAL COA as pictured!Considering the rarity of this amazing guitar and it's AS NEW condition, I have priced it VERY fairly but enabled the "Best Offer" button so you can make a FAIR and REALISTIC offer.Look for MORE Beatle Guitars in the weeks to come, including the "1965" Sunburst model of the Lennon Casino, just as NEW as this one! (I just sold the "Revolution" Casino to a VERY lucky buyer!) . I also have the Limited Edition J160E in the sunburst model coming up for sale, from the limited run of only 250 ever made! I haven't decided yet, but I MAY, MAYBE, offer for sale one of the rarest of all John Lennon Limited Edition J160E examples, #3 of the three ACTUAL PROTOTYPE Lennon J160E guitars built by Gibson, for the original run of only 250 guitars,  for approval by Yoko Ono, used later for photo shoots and other marketing purposes. I have ABSOLUTE DOCUMENTATION to prove it is what I say it is too! I was offered $10,000 for it 10 years ago, but didn't want to sell it. I think it's worth even more now, but maybe we will find out just how much more soon!I will also be listing some Beatle related Ricks too!And some Beatle related Gretsch models!Keep checking back.......they are all as NEW as this one or darn close to it!
