This listing is for a great Vintage McKinney Lap Steel Electric Slide-Hawaiian Guitar. This Lap Steel was made in the USA in 1949. I have not heard of the Brand McKinney before but this Lap Steel was definitely made by Valco and has a National-Valco serial number which dates to 1949. The Lap Steel is very cool looking and is working and sounding great. The pickup and electronics are working fine and sound great. The lap steel has the old style fixed output cable. The cable has been changed and is working fine. The Pearloid MOTS (mother of toilet seat) covering is in very good shape and overall the lap steel is in very clean and nice condition. The tuner buttons on the lap steel have been replaced but the tuners themselves are original. The Lap Steel comes as pictured with it's original case which has been very nicely decorated with a sailboat and palm tree and the name "Charlie".
