GREAT CHIMELIKE TONES PRODUCED FROM THIS INCREDIBLE GUITAR!2009 was a very good year for the Gibson Custom shop,in that, that year denotes the 50th Anniversary of the 1959 Gibson LP! One of the most sought out guitars in the history of guitar enthusiasts. Not only are these guitarsspectacular, they are meticulously built to virtual exactspecs of the real 1959 LP Maple Leaf sunburst. You get the best of both worlds with this guitar. Some minor tweaks here & there. One of the bestguitars I have ever held or played, for its price & playsin some ways as good or not better then a real 59'. So you get the benefits of the new mixed with theold & the old is made to almost exact specs. With the addition of wider frets came theability to bend notes with the greatestof ease. So you had players like Eric Clapton,Mike Bloomfield, Peter Green. All of them gravitated towards this Quintessential guitar modification. As they all were heavy string benders. Gibson Custom shop using the Traditional methods mixed with modern technology, they used Painstaking methods too create this very beautiful, virtual carbon copy of its original lineage. A incredible sounding & playing guitar. Solid Mahogany back, Historically long Neck tenon, For superior strength & sustain. The neck profile is period correct. Not to mentionits maple cap front which is totally amazing!Comes with the original case & the Original Pick guard.A couple darker wood colors are seen on or around Cow boy chord location. probably visible on the fret board. Looks like it might be  Brazilian Rosewood,Because of the different colorations. Could be something Else, just not 100% sure. As there seems to be only 50 of these Faded Maple leaf guitars produced, according toan expert appraiser who looked at this guitar.
