This guitar belonged to an executive from Gibson who sold off part of his collection. Said executive shall remain anonymous. Suffice it say he had pretty much his choice of guitars. This particular Les Paul 1959 Historic R9 Standard is gorgeous with a smooth lustrous patina in lemon burst with very cool flame. Red back. 2013 Vintage, and heavy at 8 pounds 13 ounces. Comes with the older Lifton style Les Paul cases. Not like the present ones. Guitar comes with all tags, and paperwork. Switch tip is in the case. Dual Custom Buckers and all the good things that come with historics. The body is solid mahogany no holes. The neck is C shaped 50's fat, with single layer rosewood fretboard. 9-3xxx sn on back of headstock. Returns for defects or inaccurate description. Other reasons may incur a restocking fee.
