Pair of Celestion Greenback Pre-Rola 20 watt speakers. Both are 1971 production with DD 25 date codes, original pulsonic 102 003 cones, and of course the black solder tab. They are rated @ 15 Ohms, and as with all vintage speakers that exact spec may vary somewhat. Speaker's cones have the normal aging common to vintage speakers (i.e. discoloration, some weathering marks, etc. ) but no cone rubs or tears. The pictures show the condition of the speakers which are exceptional for their age. These have the tone that is complex, warm, and woody. Very rare and hard to find speakers, and the sound/tone is pure rock! I know that it is cliche to say this; but if you have heard any of the great classic rock guitarists (Hendrix, Clapton, Beck, Page, Gibbons, etc. etc.) then you have heard these speakers. This is the tone that Celestion itself tried to reproduce with the reissue black back EVH 20's and their heritage greenback 20 watt speakers.Speakers have been safely mounted in a cabinet and stored in a temperature controlled environment. I will be sorry I sold these but I am not playing them as much as I used to and need to downsize my studio and gear. Please note there are flaws to the gaskets, cones, etc. which is normal wear for vintage speakers. Speakers have marks on the frame, cones have fading and show minor wear, etc. Obviously none of this effects mounting, functioning or sound of the speakers in any way. These are sold "as is" because they are vintage items.
