Up for sale, a 1962 Gibson ES-330T with the original sunburst finish and P-90 pickup. This guitar is dialed in and ready for stage and studio work, with a fresh refret and modern hardware that matches original Gibson spec. With a fully hollow maple body, the tone of the single P-90 pickup has plenty of growl and girth, responding well to both delicate playing and heavier strumming. Whether you want a clean and glassy tone or singing overdrive, it's easy to coax a variety of sounds out of this guitar, all with a very touch sensitive and dynamic quality. The instrument is featherweight at only 5lbs 8oz. Professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar, this ES-330T has been strung with fresh 11-50 strings and has low, comfortable action. The one-piece mahogany neck has a slender C shaped profile with a bound Brazilian rosewood fretboard and small pearl block inlays. Freshly refretted with correct vintage sized fretwire, the guitar plays effortlessly up the neck. The nut measures a full 1 11/16" and the headstock features a set of modern Kluson Deluxe single line tuning machines that turn smoothly and hold pitch as they should. There was a very slight professionally repaired fracture at the headstock joint which is completely stable and seen in the included close up photo. The ID number of a previous owner is also scrawled into the mahogany in this area as well.On the body, the original electronics are intact, with stock pots and one Sprague "Black Beauty" paper in oil tone capacitor. The nickel pole P-90 and original pickguard are also present. The bridge, tailpiece, pickup cover, and knobs are all modern parts that match vintage spec. A different pickup was at one time installed in the guitar, but the P-90 cover conceals the edges of some very slight routing, with only two tiny mouting ring holes visible outside the dog ear.  The guitar retains its original warm three-tone sunburst finish, fading from amber to red to deep black at the edges of the body, with gorgeous lacquer checking across the entire body as well. There is one slight repaired crack on the bass side cutaway, some light assorted nicks on the body as a whole, and light buckle rash on the back. This guitar has been lovingly played and professionally serviced here at our shop to play its best, striking a balance between the important original aspects of the condition and the needs of the modern player.
A hardshell case is included.
