Description

If this guitar was in great shape it would be worth around $6000 but it's in rough cosmetic shape so it will be much cheaper.
This guitar has been played a LOT and has lots of wear and repairs.   Lots of repaired cracks to the sides, top, back, and neck heal.  All repairs are old and stable.  Bridge plate, pickguard, trussrod cover, and a finger brace are replaced.  Tuners are non-original, but old open back Kluson tuners which are the correct type for this guitar.  Repair to a (top) brace-end glued and reenforced with a linen splint years ago.  Side cracks reenforced with linen splints.  Top and back cracks reenforced with spruce cleats.  Refinished black but the original script logo was spared.  Other reddish paint overspray can be seen inside the body.  Some sanding was likely done during previous refinish work.  String height measures 4.5/32nds" at the 12th fret on the low E, going down to 4/32nds" at the 12th fret of the high E.  neck is straight, the frets and fretboard show some wear but have plenty of life left in them.  Enjoy playing a '46 J45 you won't worry about bringing to the gig.  Fretboard width is 1.754" at the nut, 2.108" at the 12th fretNeck width (fretboard to back of neck) is 0.919" at the 1st fret, 0.966" at the 7th fret, and 1.017" at the 10th fret.  A comfortable C shaped neck. I have more pictures as well. Includes a non-original soft shell case.  It will be packed securely for shipping.  Please ask questions, I'm happy to answer them.  International buyers are welcome via eBay's international shipping program.  Returns are accepted but return shipping cost will be the buyers responsibility.
