I have a 1965 Vox AC-10 Twin Amp made by JMI in England. It’s almost completely original and has 2 x 10" Speakers. It’s in excellent shape and ready to gig. I bought it in 1998 from Macari’s on Charing Cross Road in London and have gigged it ever since. It’s a bit dinked in places but in excellent shape for it’s age and so I'm listing it as "Very Good".The footswitch might be a replacement "egg" but it has the Vox logo and if it is a replacement then it was done long before I obtained the amp. The transformer was replaced some time in 2004 if memory serves. I am told the speakers are not original but I have no idea when they were replaced. Long before my time! They work perfectly and sound great!
A small part of the woodwork at the back of the cabinet has splintered off (see final pic) so one of the bolts holding the head in the box is loose but otherwise the cabinet is sound. It is missing it's original vent grilles but these can be replaced easily enough.I had it serviced in Denmark Street this summer. One of the tubes was replaced and it got a bit of a clean out inside. It still sounds fantastic through both channels and the trademark Tremolo setting works as good as ever.Serial number is 1940 but I can’t tell you much else about it’s history pre-1998 I’m afraid.It's given me many years of pleasure both on tour and in the studio but now it's just taking up space in the living room and so it's time for us to part.Local pick up would be preferred but shipping can be arranged!
