This is a fully analogue clone of the classic Roland TR-808 using the same circuitry design but with additional features not found on the original model, and for a fraction of the price. These are hand built in Germany and sell for €880 new.I bought this one a couple of years ago, directly from the guy who builds them and have used it on a number of records but now need to raise money for a different machine.The kick on this can be adjusted to 3 times the decay of that no an 808 (which is already long) and multiple patterns can be easily chained on the fly meaning there is no need for the "A A/B B" switch found on the original. You can easily switch between pattern play and pattern write without having to start and stop the machine, and the choice of both step write and tap write is available.
Each of the 11 tones has an individual output, and these are removed from the sum output when connected. Additionally there is a separate trigger output for triggering other kit, such as forcing the arpeggiator on a Juno. It also has a number of shuffle options to bring even more life to your patterns. It has midi input, and also sync in and out.As the pictures show, there is a minor scrape to the metalwork on the rear of the casing. This was courtesy of Air France who forced their way into my flightcase then were unable to close it properly again. This is purely cosmetic and the unit was returned to the builder for repair work immediately afterwards, so everything works perfectly. That was it's first and last adventure to a gig. It takes 14v AC power, and I will include the power pack which I use.Postage price is within the UK and uninsured. I don't mind shipping out of the UK or insuring it, but the price will be slightly higher. Please don't hesitate to get in touch.
