This is the original Sequential Circuits Pro One, serial #5510, with the preferred J-wire key action. All the knobs and switches have been de-oxidized and run as smooth as silk. Each key’s J-wire connections have also been carefully cleaned and de-oxidized and work perfectly. There is on key, the second C key from the bottom, that is still a little scratchy if the key is released slowly, but works perfectly in normal playing conditions. The orginal key bushings have all been cleaned and all the keys are even.
This comes with, and will be shipped in, a perfectly fitting Pelican 1650 case with wheels and is perfect for storing the insturments or taking it out on gigs. I purchased this instrument in 1993 and am the second owner. Since then it has been in my smoke-free studio or in temperature controlled storage. I have just given it a thorough cleaning and it works and sounds totally great. As with all of these vintage Pro Ones, there are a good number of ways to interface it with other analog voltage controlled devices, including all the modern modular Eurorack gear (with a simple 1/4’ to 1/8” adaptor). There is basic CV in and out, gate out, gate/clock in, and filter CV in. There is also an audio in plug so you can send external audio through the Pro One’s great sounding filter. As I’m sure you know since you are here, this is a monophonic instrument but it does have a very cool appreciator and a very basic, but still cool, two position sequencer. This is basically the (one voice) little brother of the Prophet 5. (Thus the “Pro One” name.)Seeing that it is a vintage synth, I can not accept returns. But I guarantee it will be packed and shipped with care. Shipping is free to the “lower 48” states but I can get a quote to ship elsewhere.Ships to verified PayPal addresses only. No refunds or returns.
