Cleveland by H N White Co.Antique/Vintage FluteMade c.1930's?Soldered Tone HolesHeavy Silver PlatingOverhauledWhat a Rich Tone!For your consideration:This is a beautiful example of the fine workmanship produced during the heyday of musical instrument manufacture in the USA. Stamped Cleveland The H N White Co. Cleve.D. This is a very unusual and beautiful handmade flute with soldered tone holes and apparently all silver plated head joint, body and keys. The plating is very heavy and although buffed it doesn't show any sign of wearing off. Serial number 86503 on the foot and on the body stamped C86503. One of the unusual features is that the barrel is attached to the head joint not to the body. I looked at catalogs of all Cleveland, H N White and King band instruments and could not find this model on any of them. If this is an earlier model then it pre-dates the beginning of the company in 1929. The condition is impeccable and we just overhauled this lovely flute with double skin treated professional Lucien pads. There isn't a dent or ding anywhere. Mechanically, guaranteed perfect or your money back. The tone is beyond incredible! You just can't find this kind of resonance on any modern instrument. I would keep this one for myself but at the moment I own about 12 handmade flutes. And I still loathe giving this one up! Really that great!If you are a collector or connoisseur of rare and beautiful instruments then this is the flute for you! This lovely instrument does play at A=440 and can be used in a professional situation and even plays better than any modern flute on the market today.Comes with a replacement case and we'll include a cleaning stick and swab (not shown).Thanks for looking!
