Very rare BJFE EGDM in mint condition in box. Lucky #13, ordered with higher gain many moons ago. Original owner. Sounds ridiculously good(read awesome)...after having a few 3 knobbers, this one is just on another level. All controls are incredibly interactive yielding countless stages/flavors of class A type grind, and even with humbuckers at full bore, the clean up/dynamics are wonderful...responds just like a good amp would. Plus the character of this one just sounds special...when you play it you will hear and feel it immediately....and that's also what sets it far apart from the Bearfoot equivalent. Don't get me wrong, the BF stuff is really, really good and is heads above much of what proliferates in the current market, but having compared both side by side, there is an obvious choice. The all hand made/tuned BJFE version is more spongey, less hi fi, more juicy, and more interactive in general than the BF counterpart...and not just by 5 or 10%....lots more shadings, subtlety, nuance, and responsiveness, and yes, just way more organic. Not many of these BJFE 4K versions floating around, and probably none as hot as this one either. Paint is excellent too...simple but top is like a dark green glass table top, sides are lighter, and bottom is darker again with a hand painted barnyard brush stroke look...great visuals to compliment the sound...like a wicked sleeper. This regrettable sale results in a great opportunity to grab a glorious grind box that does not disappoint....I've sold quite a few very special sounding BJFE's in the last couple of months, and this is easily among them....and may very well be the last.
