This course of study includes complete technical material for learning to tune, adjust repair, regulation, apprenticing, and instruction on building your own piano technician business from the ground up. This complete course includes detailed methods of instruction separated by chapter, complete with study materials, quizzes and tests. Also included are videos, manufacturer specific information, tools, parts, and models, and a large library of supplemental reading materials. This course was prepared by the Grand Master of piano technician instruction himself, Randy Potter. The original cost for this course was $1795.00 and includes all of Mr. Potter’s supplied materials, ready to go for a new student. You can easily find his website where this course continues to be sold. The extras include about 30 issues of the Piano Technicians Guild Journal which contain lots of relevant articles, as well as some textbooks and materials that were not part of the original package. The vertical action model, the other tools and model/parts packs are new and unused. There are also 4 additional included texts. These are: The Craft of Piano Tuning by Daniel Levitan A Natural History of the Piano by Stuart Isacoff How Equal Temperament Ruined Harmony by Ross W. Duffin Temperament by Stuart Isacoff Also included is a DVD Master Class in Aural Tuning with Virgil Smith and Alan Zajicek, and 6 new packs of strings valued at about $100.00, (various sizes-see photo).
