Hello ladies and gentlemen, welcome to our listing. Today you are looking at a truly rare and fantastic electric guitar. This is the Gibson/Charvel WRC SR71 Showcase. You may see some Gibson WRC models every once in a great while, but you just about NEVER EVER see a showcase model and even less so on the market for sale. You will notice this guitar has a flying script with "showcase" written on the back of headstock. This guitar was a group collaboration between Gibson and Charvel. There were only 200 of each of these series made and was the "Guitar of the Month". Shows made 1988-1989. This guitar is in REALLY good condition. It was bought and the owner set this guitar on a stand in his basement and basically it hasn't been played at all.The frets are in almost like new condition. You'll notice that all the original paper work is with the guitar including the certificate of authenticity with matching serial number. It still has the paper work for the warranty and even the information about the locking case. There are a couple of small things to note on the guitar. There is a small edge scratch on the finish of the headstock at the bottom. There are also only 3 very small dinks I can find on the guitar. One hairline circle mark on the lower horn. One small indention behind the bridge. One small dink on the bottom edge of the guitar. See pictures. All are extremely minor. The coloring on this guitar has changed a bit over the years. Due to lighting the finish changed slightly and there is a small bit of discoloration or more noticeable spots that had different exposure on the bottom back side of the guitar. This guitar comes from a smoke free environment.The case is fantastic condition. There is even a slip cover that goes over the guitar inside the case. EMG pickups. The guitar absolutely SCREAMS! The craftsmanship is incredible and an absolute joy to play. This is a KILLER super strat. Again this guitar has had only one owner and has just been sitting on it's stand the whole life. Waiting for the right person to be able to pick it up.Both an extremely collectable guitar and high end rock/metal masterpiece. The last one of these that went up for sale some time ago was not even as rare of color as this, didn't have as much paper work and went for $2250. We could have asked $2500 and maybe even get that.
