'THE VALVE' 3/100 Handmade Boutique 100/50 Watt 3 Channel Head in Blue with Black Grill Cloth and White Control Panel Effects unit and cab not included 'The Valve' was launched in the mid-90s on the initiative of Galeazzo Frudua, a renowned Italian luthier, and, since 1988, owner of Frudua Guitar Works, one of the leading electric guitar manufacturers in Italy (www.fruduaguitars.it). The initial project brief was to construct a versatile 3-channel electric guitar pre-amplifier for use in Frudua showrooms. How did you come up with the 3/100 Head?
Whenever we set out to find a great tone, what we are trying to replicate is a sound we have heard on record or heard live. Whether the reference point is Steve Vai, Robben Ford, Toto or Linkin Park, we try first of all to reproduce the sound we have heard, and then personalize it to make it our own. This is essentially what the 3/100 Head does, providing guitarists with those sounds they have heard on record or live, then allowing them to customize tone using a wide range of tools. How can I get the sound I'm after?
