Beautiful Fox 201 Professional Wood Bassoon-Gorgeous 1997 Production, Great Cond Wow! This Recently Produced Professional Fox Model 201 Wood bassoon is ready to go and in amazing condition! It has a serial number in the 24000 range, dating its production to 1997. The short bore design gives this instrument a wonderful singing character, especially in the middle and upper register: very suitable for solo work. It plays extremely well and is just so beautiful as an instrument. It has elegant simple striping and rich light red color tones. The silver plating is stunning and was fully polished. There are a few knicks and dings, including a fairly deep one on the bass joint, but these do not detract from the wonderful instrument that this is. This high quality Wooden bassoon is made in the USA by Fox, one of the premier bassoon makers in the world. This instrument includes standard keywork plus High D and High E keywork for full range. They are known for having a great powerful and sound with great response. These instruments are still being made, and when new cost $28,000.
