Personally Signed by Henry Z. Steinway Former President of Steinway. Last Steinway Family member with the company. Details: This Steinway B has an orchestral tone. This richness with become more pronounced once you play this piano for about 125 hours. This piano was hardly played.
This Limited Edition Steinway Grand is number 48 of only 91 that were produced. This Henry Z. Steinway Custom Limited Edition Steinway B was produced during Henry's 91 Birthday Year. Henry Z. Steinway was the last family member to hold the position of President of this wonderful company. Mr. Steinway took so much pride in this Limited Edition that he personally signed all of them as they were completed. Just as Steinway passed down the Great Steinway Company to each of the children for 150 years, you can pass this Limited Edition Collectors model down to your family. A Steinway Grand in a home can last at least 100 years. If you talk to any Steinway Dealer they will tell you Steinway Grand's go up in value each year. The case is fashioned after a 1895 style. The music desk has the initials H Z S (Henry Z. Steinway) woven into the music rack.
I purchased my first B in 1976 for $12,200. Today the same Model B is $100,000. The Steinway Dealer will also tell you that a Limited Edition Steinway will accelerate in value even faster. But your goal is not to sell this piano. It is to pass it down. I can tell you a story. I purchased a limited Edition East Indian Rosewood Steinway Model L in 1998. The piano was about $64,000 at the time. When I was moving to Texas from Seattle in 2002 I sold the piano for $88,000. It shows you the power of the Brand name Steinway. This piano if new today with the high end player system on it would sell for $128,000.
Today this piano would retail for about $128,000, based on my 42 years of selling Steinway Grands. Why purchase any Steinway B, when you can own a collector's Steinway Grand.
Now on to the piano. An Orchestral Tone is very full and rich. A Steinway B when broken in correctly will give you a richness that you might never find in any pianos. I have personally been to the Steinway factory Selection Center many times over the past 42 years. It is rare to find that darkness with this Orchestral richness. A true richness of sound. The action is very fast. The player feature enables you to listen to the piano while you read the books (that are included) about the rich history of the Steinway pianos and it's fmaily members.
The piano will be serviced to our "De Capa" Level. Once you truly break in the piano it can be serviced to the level of the players in your home.
This piano has a Player system. A Pianodisc SystemYou you could purchase this one and invest the money you save in a Get Away Home in Italy. Think about that. Both are going to go up in Value.
This is 48 of 91 Limited Edition. The Best of the Best of the Best. Is that want you want ? ? ? ?
PLUS it is finished in East Indian Rosewood. The Case does have some sun fading. We have this piano on display in our Dallas Showroom. Our case people will be by this week to review the case with us and we will decide if we are going to refinish the case.
