Vintage AKG C12. There certainly aren't many in this original condition. This is the earlier version with V2148 transformer. This offers potentially slightly better bottom-end, and certainly less saturation in the bottom end on louder sources. You'll notice also that it has an "H-pad" wired across the output; this is an original mod from when the mic was originally purchased which reduces the output level slightly. This can be simply clipped off and removed, but has been left as it is original to the mic. The pictures hopefully show just how original the condition is. The capsule looks quite clean without much dust. As far as I know, the electronic components are original with exception to the valve which is obviously replaceable. There is also a spare "selected" valve included. The grill is in really excellent condition. No dents. The screws on the side of the PSU look like they have been replaced at some point as one does not match. I will supply a correct mains connector for you to create your own mains cable. These supplies have switchable source voltage for use in different countries. Tested as working ok. We actually put it up side-by-side with an early C414 for comparison which was interesting. This mic has some serious history. If you are interested to know more about it, then message me, but suffice to say, it has been used in front of countless artists at a very famous studio. Additional photos as eBay seems to limit to 12 photos:https://postimg.org/gallery/1f9qfau2y/Note that the handling time has been set to 10 days to allow for arranging shipping. ***Important: worldwide shipping may be difficult to arrange for this mic. I've had a look at parcel2go.com which seems to only offer value covered to £5000, plus they wanted an extra £250 for that. It would make more sense to collect this item, but if you do want this item posted then you will need to research shipping options. The weight will be approximately 30Kg and I guess that parcel would be around 70cm x 70cm x 30cm. Maybe a train or plane ticket would be cheaper. I've set UK shipping to £300 and worldwide to £500 as an estimate. Also, as this has been listed with eBay's £1 final value fee offer, we are not interested in buy-it-now offers as it doesn't really make sense as an auction will determine the fair price. Thanks.
