I'm offering from my personal collection (I say collection but I truly don't have many guitars at all these days!), my very very much loved, Heritage H535 made in 1995 at the Kalamazoo factory, Michigan USA.For those of you that perhaps don't know the Heritage story, I would highly recommend looking it up as it's a brilliant story. Basically a handful of the original Gibson staff members and luthiers didn't want to move to Memphis when Gibson shifted plants, and decided to buy the old Kalamazoo building and begun 'Heritage Guitars', building instruments the only way they knew how, in the only building they wanted to do it in.
Heritage are beginning a new chapter at the moment with a huge investment to modernize the facilities and continue to hand make these beautiful guitars. This H535 is a fairly early one, built in 1995 and owned by me for I'd say at least the past 6-8 years. Very sad to see it go, but I'm further investing into my business and I'd love to see this go to a loved home. It's a beautiful guitar, that looks incredible, plays perfectly and sounds unreal. It has changed a little since it left Kalamazoo in '95, I have changed the original Schaller bridge to a Tune-o-matic and stop tail piece, fitted a set of McNelly Stagger Swagger Noiseless P90s in full nickel covers and it does have a Gibson style plastic pickguard retrofitted, but this is totally non invasive and can be easily removed completely, or it's original matching flamed maple pickguard fitted. I have the original bridge and pickguard in it's Heritage hard shell case. The original pickups were Seymour Duncan '59 humbuckers, but this set was incredibly muddy and very much lacked clarity and definition. So I swapped them out, but sadly don't still have them to go with the guitar. But trust me, the McNelly's totally outdo them in every single way, it is the best thing for the instrument for sure! Whilst fitting those I completely removed the wiring harness to check it over and all was still perfect, so that was re-installed.Here are some specs:
Blonde H535 '95 model
Maple top, back and sides with a subtle flame, and spruce central brace.
Mahogany neck with a 42.95mm nut with, carved to a slim-ish C shape neck. 22.25mm at the 1st fret, 26mm at the 12th. Rosewood board.
McNelly Stagger Swagger Pickup set in full nickel covers
TonePros Tune-o-matic Bridge
Gibson Stop Tail bar
Heritage Hard Case.
Grover Tuners I wrote an extensive blog post about this guitar, so be sure to head over and read it You may recognise the guitar from a few McNelly Pickup demo videos too, here they are so you get a rough idea of tones available.
I would prefer this guitar to be collected, as it isn't shop stock but one of my own guitars, and want to meet the person owning it, and know it's with you safely rather than shipping.
