Line6 James Tyler Variax JTV-69 in Black. Very low use on this guitar, it has never left my smoke-free house since new. I confess - I have three Variax guitars, including a JTV-89F I just picked up last week. While it is fantastic having one guitar that both sounds great on its own and can model the sound of ~25 other guitars with the push of a button, it's pretty silly to have 3 of 'em. Here's the scoop with this guitar - when I bought it, I loved the sound but really could not get used to the neck. I had installed a Warmoth conversion neck on it, used it a little, but it still wasn't quite what I wanted. Fast forward to December, I decided to go ahead and customize it, I installed a strat-style thin 25-1/2" scale figured-maple neck with a fast 12" radius maple fingerboard, a (genuine) Floyd Rose R3 locking nut and Fender (sperzel) locking tuners, and started shopping around for a graphtec ghost floyd rose bridge for it. Then... I stumbled on the JTV-89F, which already has the graphtec bridge and flat thin neck, so I lost all incentive to customize this guitar. My intent was/is to re-install the original JTV neck and tuners, but I thought I'd offer it up for sale as it sits first while I sort through storage boxes looking for the original neck. While this listing is up, it comes as shown in the pictures. If you've read this far, you probably already know what a JTV-69 modeling guitar is; if not, do a quick search. I am partial to the acoustic models, myself. Includes battery, charger, cable, and USB adapter as shown in the last pic.EDIT: not sure why the eBay stock information shows this as a JTV-69-LPB; "LPB" refers to Lake Placid Blue, and this one is assuredly Black.EDIT #2: To answer some questions - the frets were leveled and polished, the intonation has been set, but because I planned on replacing the bridge I did not optimize the action. Right now the neck is set with the tiniest relief and the action is probably just fractionally lower than a JTV-69 ships out with new. The neck is unshimmed (flat neck angle), and I removed a bit of the tone-stealing finish from the inside of the neck pocket before assembly - it boggles the mind that they could not be bothered to mask it before spraying at the factory.
If none of that means much to you :) , it means it plays and sounds better than new but has plenty of room to be optimized further.
