Rather a strange one this, I bought the chassis without any transformers, I put in a sixties mains transformer and a modern overspecced output transfomer (once i have a look inside I'll update the brand of the Trannie)its recently been serviced(by Frank at JPF amos) and I bought the headbox and a repro logo, so it is fully functional and looks great on stage.Originally this would would have been a 1x12 combo, it was designed by Steve Grindrod, and his initials are on the test/date slip on the chassis. I did toy with the idea of making a combo, but I like the flexibility being able to use different cabs gives you.Super simple layout, volume treble and bass its rather similiar to my Marshall 20ws, not unsuprising given the design and the fact it uses el84s. it distorts when you crank it and it is suprisingly loud.I'm just looking to recoup what I have spent on this head, I have loads of 20w heads/amps(Marshall, SoundCity, WEM Triwatt) and am saving for another Les Paul.I am willing to arrange postage in the U.K, I use Parcelforce and I fully insure my items. if you would like to buy this and live abroad I am happy for you to arrange your own courier at your own risk, I do pack well and recently sent a simms watts to Italy that arrived in one piece. As ever you are more than welcome to collect from Holloway N7.Your basically getting a vintage sounding amp with modern out put transformer that you can happily gig with out being afraid your going to trash a valuable amp, and like I have mentioned this was recently given a FULL service so your good to go.THE SALE DOES NOT INCLUDE MY 1972 MARSHALL, I've just included it for a reference so you can see the size.
