This listing is for a very cool and rare early 1950's Silvertone Model 1377 Electric Guitar. This guitar was made by Danelectro for the Silvertone line in 1954 or 1955. This model along with the 1 pickup 1375 was the first in a long line of guitars Danelectro made for Silvertone. These early Silvertone guitars are very cool and have the early peanut body style and stack knobs.  The have a red vinyl covering and an white plastic pickguard with built in pickups. Danelectro hadn't yet designed the lipstick pickups when this guitar came out but the pickups are similar in sound. These have an unusual metal rod running through the neck and a the neck profile takes some getting used to. These guitars are really rare and cool. This one is in nice shape for it's age and is all original to the best of my knowledge. The pickups and electronics are working fine and sound very good. The pickguard is cracking around the screw holes in a number of places and the jack plate is also cracked. The guitar plays really nicely and sounds great. The guitar has wear around the vinyl body and on the neck including nicks dings and scratches. The guitar comes with a gig bag and will be expertly packed. Thanks for looking,,
