This is a rare silver and brass Yani purchased December 2016. The body is brass. The bell and neck are 92% pure silver. The ergonomics are superb. Yanagisawa uses Solid Sterling Silver (92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper) for their "Solid Silver" which provides a heavier alloy that also vibrates & responds exceptionally well. This helps the the horn to be a more resonant instrument that offers more tonal presence and versatility. The T9933 features ribbed body construction for a richer, more complex tone as well as all of the standard features for the Yanagisawa T99x series mechanical improvements such as:Connected C#-B rollerDouble arm construction on the Low C & B keysUnlike the other T99x series horns, on tenor sax models with a Sterling Silver neck, Yanagisawa does not use the underslung octave mechanism. Instead, they use a traditional top mount in order to help prevent bending the neck (since silver is softer than brass).It comes with a case, strap, and Yani hard rubber mouthpiece (which I've never used).
