So successful were they that Gibson sued to stop production, which was subsequently halted under court order. Now known as 'lawsuit' models, these guitars have become legendary for their rarity, and their scrupulous faithfulness to the originals.Meticulously constructed, this guitar, model 2461NT, is virtually identical in dimensions, scale and bracing to its Gibson namesake. The solid ebony fingerboard is inlaid with pearl split block inlays , and the body shows particularly handsome book-matched tiger flame in the back and sides. Fitted with all original gold hardware, the guitar has the rare twin floating mini-humbucking pickups, with 3 way rotary pickup selector and independent volume and tone controls. This instrument has a comfortable modern neck profile and is an all-time favorite of working pros, who prefer to leave their spendy originals at home. Condition:• This guitar appears to be all original• This example shows no cracks• Minimum to NO buckle rash• Minimal to NO thumb or fretboard wear• Minimal fret wear• A couple of small blemishes on the front that can’t be photographed• ½” x ½” blemish on the back where it appears to have come into contact with something along with a couple of other    small blemishes• Binding is all in tack with several check marks on the top and lower bout• The gold hardware is oxidized in several areas• All electronics work• A couple of areas on the back where discoloration appears alongside the bindingCase: Plush hardshell case that is close to newIf you've been searching for one of these vintage beauties, don't hesitate because this guitar is the most faithful clone anyone's going to build, as long as Gibson has lawyers. If you are interested in what this guitar sounds like search YouTube for George Benson and you will find numerous examples of him playing this same guitar before Ibanez came out with his signature models……and that’s a pretty strong endorsement.    Email me for any further information.
