YAMAHA RECORDING CUSTOM A rarity indeed! This is a made-in-Japan kit in outstanding condition. These are the classic shells made of birch, 6-ply toms and 7-ply kick. The drums feature high tension lugs and 1.6mm triple flanged hoops. This shell pack consists of: *16" (depth) x 22" (diameter) bass drum;
*8" x 12" mounted tom; and
*14" x 14" floor tom. Recording Customs were discontinued a few years back, and recently re-introduced as a made-in-China product. The current 3-piece would cost over $3,000.00 new. As a bonus, we're offering ours with a nearly-new RAS1455 (5.5" x 14" aluminum shell) snare. This drum is the current model, made in Taiwan. If you want the 3-piece without the snare, please make an offer and specify such in the notes. All batter heads are non-original Remo, with some wear but plenty of life left.
