This ESDT 335 is a reissue of the original 1958-1962 ES-335 TDs with pearl dot inlays and PAF pickups. The interior orange label states it was built in the Gibson Memphis, Tennessee plant in 2005. I bought this guitar when it was new and since then I kept it at home and played it only sporadically for my own enjoyment. It's a beautiful guitar, easy to play, and it sounds great. It has a double round cutaway semi-hollow bound maple body with a solid center block, f-holes and a raised black pickguard. Both the arched top and the back display a stunning figured "flamed" pattern which is nicely brought out by the cherry finish. The mahogany neck supports a 22-fret bound rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays. The headstock has three-per-side Grover tuners and pearl inlays of the "Gibson" and "crown-shaped" logos. The scale length is 24 3/4" and the nut width is 1 11/16". The frets are in very good shape and all of this results in a very comfortable playing combination. The nickel-plated hardware includes the well-known Gibson Tune-O-Matic bridge and the stopbar tailpiece. The two covered humbucker pickups each have their own volume and tone controls, and can be selected with the provided three-way pickup switch. Some of the nickel plating on the pickups is becoming less shiny because of age related patina forming. This ES-335 DOT Reissue guitar is in excellent condition as I only played it at home as a retired hobby-musician and mostly kept it in its case. There are no scratches or any other damage. The only minor playing wear is that, depending on the light and viewing angle, one can see some dulling of the finish in some spots as, for example, from resting my arm on the body of the guitar when playing. This ES-335 weighs 8 lbs. 10 oz. and fits perfectly in its original hardshell case. The case, a new set of Gibson 10-46 Brite Wires, and shipping, using FedEx Ground/Home Delivery are included in the price.
