Canadian Cedar top (Thuja Plicata), Palo Escrito back and sides (Dalbergia Paloescrito), fingerboard: Ebony (Diospyros Gracilis), Scale length 650mm (25-9/16"), constructed in 2004, Schaller tuners, 650mm (25-9/16") scaleThe body is slightly larger than standard classical sizePalo Escrito (Dalbergia Paloescrito), the wood used for the back and sides of this guitar, is a true Rosewood, one of a half-dozen Dalbergia species used for fine guitars. It grows in Mexico and is the most typical wood used for the back and sides of Mexican guitars.
The rosette, Sergio Huerta's own design, is made of figured woodThe neck is very comfortable, with a thinner profile than many
nylon-string guitars, but not narrower: the nut measures a standard
classical 52mmThe finish was restored, and two small cracks in the back were repaired so well, personally, I can't even find them.
New frets were installed in early 2016 by luthier Salvador CastilloExceptional specimen in excellent conditionNOTE: "Please note that the first 2 min. of video are of the Kenny Hill ClassicCrossover (currently listed) and the last 4 minutes are of this Sergio Huerta
