This is an old antique drum.
Unsure of the exact age but it was originally a rope tension drum. It is made with tacks instead of glue which was first used around 1860. Some folks have suggested it is a civil war era Noble & Cooley drum. Looks like original calf skins. Someone has added brass tensioners that appear to be late 1800s or early 1900s. Paintings seem more modern but again, can't be sure. It's a great folk art piece and antique drum in decent shape. Shipping costs will have to be confirmed
