This is a one-of-a-kind guitar made from top-shelf components. It has sat in its case for almost all of the 5.5 years since I had it custom-built.Body:This is a very comfortably appointed carved-top telecaster with unique choice quilt maple top on a mahogany backside. The top is a full-thickness slab of ridiculously figured quilt maple. Warmoth stopped making them like this because it's too expensive and the lumber's too rare. Strat neck pocket. Purple edge burst into clear (similar to the Musicman Steve Morse Y2D model), clean masked edge, with clear finish on the back. If you have not played Warmoth's carved-top tele body before, you're in for a treat- it's very comfortable against the body and the forearm.Neck:Warmoth Pro Strat neck in quartersawn wenge, stainless steel 6115 frets, clay dot markers. Neck is secured by threaded machine screw inserts, and the frets have been professionally leveled and ends dressed. Black Graphtech graphite nut. Wenge is an African hardwood favored by many high-end instrument manufacturers for its stability and warm, even tone. It requires no finish - you get the amazingly fast feeling of your fingers on raw wood. (Don't even think of saying "that's what she said.")Hardware - all black:Tuners: Planet Waves Autotrim locking tuners (they automatically clip the string ends once you tighten the strings to pitch)Bridge: Wilkinson VS100 tremoloKnobs, pickup bezels, etc: black chrome.Schaller straplocks included.Electronics: Santana II pickups harvested from an unused PRS Santana II to make way for the owner's preference; One vol., one tone, with a .001 mF treble bleed; Black Electrosocket jack.Cash or paypal only. Ridiculous lowballs and Nigerian princes will be cheerfully ignored. No shipping outside the lower 48, and you pay shipping if it comes to that.NB - I will be replacing the custom neck plate with a plain black one. The custom one is of sentimental value to me.The pictured flight case is included.
