It was designed to take either nylon or silk and steel strings. This 14 ¼” wide (at lower bout) friend to the forthright fingerstylist has the slotted headstock and other accoutrements of an earlier age.Its Brazilian rosewood is totally mind-boggling. NOTE: We here at Dorsey Antiques are experienced musicians who appreciate vintage instruments. We know a great guitar when we see/play one. The action on this guitar is simply amazing and there is absolutely ZERO fret buzz! Recently got a neck reset from an authorized Martin service center in Evanston called Hogeye Music.
