Do you ever wish you could go to the store and get a new Florida Link...well, this is pretty close. What you are seeing is not perfect but it is seriously nice and rarely found. It is hard to show in photos but this link is an easy 98 percent gold remaining. Its hard to show the color but its gold...the baffle ...all of it. There are a few marks here and there. Even the lig has most of its gold. It has been taken care of amazingly over the years. I have owned it quite some time and it is sat safely in the box most of that time. This is a great original, never worked on, Vintage Link offered by Phil-tone Woodwinds. It has everything you want in a great link. A good facing, a thin table (this is critical) and a healthy amount of baffle. There is some slight machining chatter on one side under the plating. It does not interfere with the quality of the facing. This piece has so little play that the facing and tip rail is still plated too!Links of this era are special and links that have not been opened up and stretched are special. There is really something to be said for links in this size range. John Coltrane didnt play a small link because he didnt have chops!
