This is a lovely horn. This is a Lorenzo Sansone full double french horn (serial number 1222). This horn has the Bb slides mounted above the F slides, but still plays in F/Bb as a standard double. This instrument plays very well. The horn is remarkably even across the F and Bb sides, and it has a very lovely tone. The high register is clear and very easily accessible. The valves have very good compression, and the slides all move of course. As for the aesthetic condition of this horn, there are a couple of small dings throughout the horn, as well as several areas of rippling and scratching. All this is visible in the pictures, and none of it affects the playability of the horn. This instrument has been professionally cleaned in our shop and repaired to full playability. This horn is not lacquered; it has a factory satin finish Therefore, fingerprints should be wiped off after use if the player wished for the horn to stay as shiny as it is now; if they are not wiped off then the horn will develop a lovely patina. This instrument comes with its original somewhat worn hardshell case, and a mouthpiece in good condition.All horns are located at Silver & Brass Music Shop710 N.
