Well, this is not something we normally get here but is just sounded so sweet I could not resist...This is a vintage, rosewood Jose Ramirez II Spanish Classical guitar made in Madrid in 1956. Afraid I am not an expert in these guitars and I have no idea which model it is but it looks as if it is made from Brazilian rosewood on the back and sides with a cedar top with a rosewood fingerboard and bridge.I believe Ramirez from this era are fairly sought after and is is the year before Jose Ramirez II died when his son took over the business From what I can gather the business then was quite different to what it is now with all his guitars being hand made.It has a few well repaired cracks, a couple on the top (centre seam below the bridge) and one on the back. My luthier says they are fine and stable.
Action is really good, the guitar is a joy to play with a really sweet sound which records well. If you are after that Leonard Cohen sound then this will do the job very well.Included is a brand new Hiscox Classical guitar case that will look after this instrument just fine and is said to be airline proof.Any help in identifying this would be appreciated and am I open to trades with all things electric...
