Downsizing;Sound City L120 guitar head in great overall condition, made in England by Dallas Arbiter LTD.
Also known as the "Pete Townshend Special" supposedly due to when Pete complained that his amps were not loud enough they came up with this design.
Very low production 120 Watt Amplifier  utilizing six EL34/6CA7 output tubes. This Amp is most likely the most original Sound City 120 you will ever find right down to the original knobs with the original color inserts and the clear numerical indicators on each knob still intact. This amp is serial # 7618 and I am the second owner ever,  it is 100% original and unmolested, no mods no "upgrades" bone stock original minus the tubes. The chassis is very clean and corrosion free and all parts are ALL original with the only exception of the Filter Caps that were replaced in the early 1990s.As can be seen in the photos the front panel, jacks, knobs, switches and graphics are all original and are excellent, the same is true for the rear panel and all associated parts and graphics.
All of the under chassis components including the tone caps and all resistors are 100% original. The cabinet has a few minor flaws and I stress minor, the Tolex is again 100% original and in very good overall condition and the cabinet integrity is excellent. All of the cabinet "piping" is also excellent and again it is all original as is the handle and even the original chassis bolts and washers.
All of the original Jumper plugs are again, all original and all of the ID tags are in great condition. I have owned this Amp for decades but due to an injury many years ago I am no longer able to play so the Amp and my guitars went into controlled storage in 1993 where it has remained until now.Over the years I have sold off my Guitars and now it is time to sell the Amp.Before the amp went into storage the tubes were removed and carefully packaged but somehow over the years they became misplaced so there are no tubes included.
I am only the 2nd owner of this amp, I purchased it from a friend of mine years ago when I was actively playing, I used it only a few times and then had a major medical incident and the Amp has been sitting in controlled storage since.I hate to see it go but it is time. The pictures tell the condition and are considered part of the description, Everything in the photos is included anything not pictured is not. Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have prior to placing your bid.
The winning bidder is responsible for all shipping charges will be charged the actual shipping charges only as invoiced by the carrier which will be FedEx. The amp will be shipped from Akron, Ohio 44320 and the weight is 58 pounds packaged.Local pickup is welcomed and encouraged.ABSOLUTELY NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING!
