RARE 1920's/1930's KAMAKA PINEAPPLE UKULELE UKE ROPE BINDING w/OHSC CASE
Estimated price for orientation: 999 $
Category: Ukuleles
Class:
Description Brand: Kamaka Ukulele Type: Soprano
This is a late 1920's to mid 30's Kamaka Pineapple ukulele. It's all original. It shows a decent amount of playing wear. There is wear to the finish around parts of the soundhole and around the first 3 frets. There is 1 approx 5" very thin, stable crack on the top from a bit above the top of the pineapple to about 1 1/2" below the bridge. There are also 4 thin and stable cracks on the back, one approx 8", the other is 6 1/2", there are also 2 small cracks at the heel and bottom/center back. The last issue is that the middle bottom brace is gone. You can see the cracks I described and the missing brace in the photos I took. These issues seem to only be cosmetic as the uke is very stable, the top and back are completely flat, although it would be a good idea to replace the missing brace. The uke plays and sounds great, very loud and responsive. It's 21 1/4" long, 2 1/2" deep. The nut is 1 1/4". Comes with the original hard shell case which is well used and missing the handle but still functional, all the latches work. Actual item pictured below. Shipping to the USA is $30 insured FedEx ground or USPS. Shipping to Canada will be $50 insured Priority air. Worldwide shipping is $70 insured Priority air, more for Express.
