This is a killer guitar!I paired a loaded body from a new Fender American 64 Reissue in limited run Fiesta Red with a new Fender American Vintage 50's Hot Rod.The American Vintage 50's Hot Rod necks get rave reviews, and I can see why. I am a sucker for the Fiesta Red color and loved the idea of an American 64 reissue, but I preferred to look and feel of this 50's Hot Rod neck.I found the original bridge pickup a little too twangy for my tastes, so I replaced it with a Seymour Duncan Jerry Donahue Lead bridge pickup. The original Fender 64 Reissue pickup is included. Also included is a mint condition Fender G&G tolex covered hard case. Both the neck and the body are nitro finished. The neck finish was still tacky when I received it, but it has hardened up and cured nicely. The only flaw is the small paint chip at the neck-body joint lower bout (pictured). This is a thin nitro finish and is a bit fragile. The guitar has been carefully played a handful of times in my smoke-free guitar studio. The action, playability and sound are great. I have a lot of money invested in this guitar, but I have too many guitars and not enough time. Also, I tend to gravitate toward strats. This unique and special guitar will not disappoint! PS: I don't have the 64 Reissue neck. I bought the loaded body only $$$.
