Cosmic Air AE-7000
Analogue delay & spring reverb Unit       Dating from the late 1970's - early 1980’s, and manufactured in Japan by EKI, this Cosmic Air AE-7000 unit has been rigorously tested in studio conditions, and is working correctly.   Controls and features   The unit’s controls are as follows:   Channels 1,2 – Mic & line inputs Tone Reverb – Footswitch activation option/input Echo - Footswitch activation option/input Repeat Delay Delay Out socket Mix Out socket -40dB -20dB 0dB level attenuation switch Power button   Power on LED Level dB LED indicator -20dB to +2dB       Cosmetics     The unit is in superb condition considering its age. Barley a mark to the face of the unit. Very clean and obviously has been well cared for during its lifespan.   See Photos for condition       Further info     This unit blew me away when I first used it….. I wasn’t expecting much from such a seemingly unknown unit (barely any info online)   Not only do you get a fantastic BBD delay unit, which outdoes most units that I’ve used from the same era, but a great spring reverb too.   I was expecting the reverb to be an afterthought, as I’ve found on many similar units before. A small, cheap, thin sounding and pretty useless reverb tank, tacked onto a delay unit to add an extra selling point to the unit….. but no! A full sized reverb tank that outputs a lovely reverb lies within.   The build quality of this unit is outstanding, both inside and out.   Analogue delay units offer a different sonic signature to digital delays.   Bucket Brigade Delay units, use of a series of capacitors to create their delayed and repeated signals, which allow for a lovely warm and more rounded tone, when compared to their digital counterparts.   This can offer up a totally different option during recording, mixing or live performance, than a digital delay, which may be too crisp, clean or sharp in certain situations.   So there we have it. A unit that will get lots of use due to it’s versatility….. standalone delay unit…. Reverb unit…. Or Both!     https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UXMRQiQ1AOo       A little about what and how I sell items:I’ve been selling odd and rare vintage audio equipment on ebay for over 10 years now, with no issues or bad feedback. So you can buy with confidence, from an experienced seller with 100% positive feedback and many happy buyers.I sell to many of the recording industry’s top, well known professionals and recording studios around the world… from Cenzo Townshend to Alex Kapranos, Shane Stoneback to Olivier Chastan, Moles Studios to Beech Creek Studios....I ship items worldwide, and have experience in shipping to pretty much every destination at this point….
