1801W 2550W 1931
2551W 3200W 1932
3201W 3350W 1933, 1934The "ebonized" flatsawn maple fretboard with no radius has been substitute.
It is now a 10" radius quatersawn maple lightly dyed to tell the passage of time.
Widht at the nut 1"3/4, scale lenght is 25".
Neck is now reinforced with a steel bar, giving just the right relief at 9th fret.
It is somewhere between a V and a U shape, thick and stable.
The neck reset has been done and the guitar offers a comfortable action.
Medium frets, no high spots. Original ivoroid binding.
Unrolled edge cone, I dont know if it is the original one. No stamps or traces of a newer one though.
Original tuners all working great despite their look.
Original maple biscuit lightly modified to wear a piezo pickup.
The output jack is located at the strap pin so no holes were drilled through the body for that matter.
Finish is non original, it is a 3 tones burst like the walnut finish of that era.
It looks pretty old, like it should have aged.I have played that guitar A LOT for a few years, teaching and playing mostly folk, tango and classical guitar. It has been strung with 13-56 all that time and it served me well throughout intricate playing. You can listen to these youtube clips for live caption of the guitar through an ampeg m-12 1959.Youtube
3 as 2 dames de pique - steve paquetUne soiree folk avec steve paquet
Will ship the case in a thick cardboard box.
The guitar will be well protected like it should deserve and like it was once sent to me.
