Specializing in the restoration of saxophones with valued finishes like silver and gold. Below are the types of jobs you can request:
-Playing Condition-Replace pads, springs and corks as needed. Eliminate leaks -Playing Condition Polish- Where I do all of the above plus polish you horn to as like new as can be. -Full Restoration-Horn gets everything new and polished (New pads, new corks, new felts, regulated, free of leaks, meticulously polished (if silver or gold) (Message me if interested) *************** About the horn listed ***************** 1925 Buescher C Melody Tenor Saxophone in Satin Silver with Gold Washed bell. True Tones are known for their great intonation and warm rounded sound. Therefore, they're really sought after by classical, Jazz, Blues players and collectors alike. This horn has been completely overhauled. It was totally disassembled, tone holes leveled, cleaned, removed old oil, dirt, grime and re-oiled. All brand new RooPads, felts, bumpers and cork. Every inch was meticulously hand polished (Body, neck, all keys and screws!). Simply put, it is beautiful!!
It is mechanically free of any defects. The neck has no pull down, the body is straight and the bell to body brace is intact. Every key has all the original snaps and spuds for the vintage Buescher purists. However the pads are installed the modern way! With plenty of shellac/glue and floated into position. This method has yielded more consistent results than just snapping the new pads in place. It plays up and down. The Trill Eb key is fully functional as intended and not corked closed. Included is also the original case which is physically in ok shape, the original mouthpiece, and ligature. The cork on the neck is currently set up for a tenor mouthpiece. The winning bidder can decide if he/she prefers a different set up (alto or C Melody) and I'll modify accordingly. Serial# 183xxx
